Good VBA developers keep their eye on the prize
VBA, short for Visual Basic for Applications, is a scripting language used to control the processes of the Microsoft Office program family. The language is available in the newer versions of the Microsoft Office programs Word, Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint, FrontPage, Visio and Outlook, and was derived from the BASIC dialect Visual Basic (VB) developed by Microsoft. VBA has the great advantage that it replaced the non-compatible macro languages of the individual Microsoft Office programs used since the mid-1990s. In addition, the language is also available in Corel Draw and Corel Photo-Paint, as well as the iGrafx product range. This ubiquity makes VBA so interesting and its developers are according in high demand.
